Doug’s advising skills are built upon a diverse background in technology, management, and entrepreneurship. BSEE and MBA degrees enabled a corporate career that started in semiconductors, transitioned to instrumentation, then computer hardware. Each change was accompanied by increasing responsibility that ultimately lead to Vice President and General Manager of an internet based software business. Functional experience was gained in operations, research and development, marketing, plus M&A. Doug’s most lasting contributions were in strategic marketing, customer needs, and product definition.
In addition to the entrepreneurship of the internet software business, Doug cofounded a chemical instrumentation company and successfully negotiated a sale to a fortune 500 buyer. He also started two non-profits both of which continue to thrive some 17 and 12 years later Doug serves on the Board of Directors of one other Fort Collins Company. He is the managing partner for five real-estate investment partnerships, served as the President of the Village Company at Winter Park between 2005 and 2015, and served as President of the Zephyr Mountain Lodge Association between 2015 and 2019. Doug has been associated with the Innosphere since 2006.
